If you are bored of regular exercise for weight loss, give sports a try!

team sports

I have always been a big proponent of team sports. I’m sure it comes from my days playing lacrosse at Duke, but I can’t stress enough the positive impact that team sports can have on your life.

Fitness and exercise are also very important, especially if you are trying to lose weight. One option that is often overlooked however, is playing team sports as part of your weight loss effort. Most people think that in order to play adult sports, you need to already be athletic, or have played before. The reality couldn’t be farther from the truth, however. Not to mention, regular cardiovascular exercise may be an effective weight loss method, but it can be a bit monotonous at times.

Joining an adult team will not only give you a sense of camaraderie, but it can offer emotional support, and maybe even help you develop muscles you didn’t know you had. These three team sports are great options for both weight loss and self esteem, so if you are getting a little bored with your cardio routine, consider adding one or more of them to the mix.
